Following the conclusion of the 2007 Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where millions of Muslim worshippers converged in the cities of Mecca and Medina to seek blessings from God, Aja Aisha Tafsir Gaye, a fifteen-year old girl, whose journey was facilitated by the Banjul Travel Agency said her performance in assisting the pilgrims during the hajj was acknowledged and appreciated by all Gambians who performed the Hajj this year.

According to reports monitored by BTA in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Aisha’s involvement and performance in this holistic journey to Mecca should indeed be encouraged to facilitate the easy movement of the old pilgrims during the period.

Yandeh Faye Jobe, general manager of Banjul Travel Agency expressed her happiness to the press on the brilliant performance of the teenage girl. She said Aisha was chosen based on her fluency in both Arabic and English.

The BTA general manager thanked all those who took part in their endeavours to make the 2007 Hajj a successfull one. She further commended the parents of the young girl for allowing her to travelled with the team to Mecca.

Imam Tafsir Gaye and Aja Maimuna Savage, Aisha’s parent remarked that the step undertaken by the BTA is in the right direction. They commended the company for bringing up young ones to participate in such a holistic duty.
