Gambia bounce back in rankings

The latest standings, issued by the football's world governing body (FIFA) last night, see the Scorpions bouncing back on both the African and global rankings.
The Gambia, who earlier dropped from 31 to 37 in last month’s rankings, have bounced back to 31. The Scorpions have also moved up seven places in the overall ranking as they leapt from 117 to 111. Nigeria will go to the Africa Cup of Nations as the continent's top team on the rankings. The Super Eagles maintain top spot ahead of Cameroon's Indomitable Lions. Guinea remain in third place, while Egypt move into fourth, one place ahead of Ivory Coast. Nations Cup hosts Ghana are rated the eighth-best side on the continent.
