RAW, a Sierra Leonean artist residing in The Gambia, is also an under ground musician who has lots of talents in music expressed his movements in RAW music as free born and his main goal is to bring unity in Africa.
In an interview with The Point entertainment desk, the residing artist explained that only African people can bring about change. This he said the way to do it is by removing corruption and also to be free from abuses like molestation and more segregation between ourselves in Africa as a whole. He described music as educating and entertaining. “I started music almost about fifteen years that was during my school days. My aspiration comes from Loveland I had the belief that I could able to be a success in music,” he said.
According to him, his first album will be released before the end of 2008 and it will comprise thirteen songs and his first song touches on peoples need to be unified. He pointed out that before releasing the album, he would take it to advance level. The Sierra Leonean artist further revealed that he has been in The Gambia for seven years now. He went on to emphasise that, he completed his high school education and later future his education where he obtained a diploma in maintenance and software. He pointed out that; his main intention is to make his aspiration, let it be known, let it be success belief that is my goal.
Turning on the types of songs that he sings RAW, according to him, does HIPOP European and R and B. He also sings African songs and uses African drums. “After producing my album, I promise to go all over Africa,” he told The Point entertainment desk. He described music as so marketable and has to be versatile meaning anybody can listen to it and like it.
