Banna Joiner, Sheriff Jallow and Gibril Jallow were on Thursday paraded before the Kanifing Magistrates Court on charges of ‘abduction’ with intent to confine a person contrary to Section 236 of the Criminal Code.
According to the charge sheet, the three accused persons November 6, 2008 at Kanifing secretly and wrongfully abducted and confined one Ismaila Demba.
During the last sitting presided over by Senior Magistrate Sainabou Wadda-Ceesay, all three pleaded not guilty.
At that juncture, the police prosecutor, ASP Touray, applied that they be denied bail.
His application was rejected by the magistrate after objections from the two defense lawyers, Sherriff Tambedou and Ousainou Darboe.
The magistrate granted the accused persons bail in the sum of D100,000 each with a Gambian surety.
The case was subsequently adjourned to December 2.
