‘Kidnappers’ on trial Monday, November 17, 2008 Banna Joiner, Sheriff Jallow and Gibril Jallow were on Thursday paraded before the Kanifing Magistrates Court on charges of ‘abduction’ with intent to confine a person contrary to Section 236 of the Criminal Code. According to the charge sheet, the three accused persons November 6, 2008 at Kanifing secretly and wrongfully abducted and confined one Ismaila Demba. During the last sitting presided over by Senior Magistrate Sainabou Wadda-Ceesay, all three pleaded not guilty. At that juncture, the police prosecutor, ASP Touray, applied that they be denied bail.
