According to reliable sources, Mr Kebba Tamsir Njie, the former Gambian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been appointed Chief Executive of The Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zone Agency (GIPZA). He replaces Mr Kebba Touray who has been appointed Gambia’s ambassador to Spain.
Mr Njie earned Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in Economics and Business Administration in King College in the United States of America.
He did many courses overseas. Mr Njie was ambassador extraordinary plenipotentiary to The Gambia to United Arab Emirates with accreditation to the states of Qatar, Pakistan, Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia from 2004 to 2006.
He was previously Chief Executive of Gambia Chamber of Commerce and industry from 1993 to 2004 and the Deputy Executive Secretary Gambia Chamber of Commerce 1986-1993.
Mr Njie has wide experience in the business sector and can contribute immensely to the promotion of investments in The Gambia.
