Louis and Mieke Keyers and Marcha and Raad de Wildt of Maashees Town in Holland on Saturday, February 16, donated football materials to the Brufut Gilkock football academy at a ceremony held at the academy’s ground in the Kombo north village .
An old friends to the academy, the football-loving couples prior to the donation acknowledged the good work done by the coaches of the academy in their quest to develop the young talents.
Mr Louis who runs a sporting complex back home in Holland, has promised to assist the academy in months to come.
Thanking the donors for their magnanimity, the financial secretary of the Brufut Youth and Sport Development Committee, Ebrima Manneh, promised that the donated items will be put into good use. He cited that the academy has and continue to produce brilliant players for the entire community of Brufut.
In conclusion. Manneh urges Louis and friends to strengthen their link with academy.
The public relations officer of the academy, Sang Mendy, in his vote of thanks, highlighted the problems of the academy which range from insufficient football equipment, lack of an office for administrative work amongst others. Mendy thanked the group for their kind gesture.
