Alleged Theft Case Adjourned

Tuesday, February 5, 2008

The case of two men accused of receiving a stolen property abroad was yet again adjourned on Tuesday following the absence of the prosecution and the accused persons from court.

Kembo Sarjo and Ebrima Bah are awaiting trial on charges of receiving two heads of cattle from Casamance, knowing or having a reason to believe that the animals have been unlawfully acquired.

They maintain their innocence since the mention of the case and the prosecution is now left with the burden of proving the facts of the matter beyond reasonable doubt.
