An alleged theft case involving a staff member of the Medical Research Council (MRC) has now reached the corridors of justice.

Mrs. Samina Badjan, a cleaner at the MRC Fajara station, yesterday appeared before Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Janneh of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing D5,450 from the dwelling house of Dr. Anthony Gerrard Morris of MRC.

The theft reportedly took place on the 3rd of December 2007, but when the charge was read out to Samina, she denied any wrongdoing and the case will soon open for full trial.
