Mother’s Care Nursery School Receives Learning Materials

Mother’s Care Nursery School in Brikama Western Region recently received a donation consisting of learning materials. The presentation was made at a ceremony held at the school. English reading books were the items donated.

In handing over the donation the donor, Mr. Lamin Darboe a resident of Brikama, emphasised the importance of being helpful to nursery school pupils.

Mr. Darboe said that great care must be taken of these children as they are the future of The Gambia. “It is a pleasure for me to give this donation and by the grace of Allah I will make more donations,” he said.

He added, “I find it to be my obligation to donate these books to the school if I have the capacity I will donate more learning materials.”

According to him, he attaches great importance to the health and wellbeing of the people of The Gambia and, most importantly, nursery school children. In receiving the donation Mrs. Jeju thanked the donor for the gesture and said that they are elated at having received the books.

She expressed her happiness at the generosity of Mr. Darboe and assured him that the donated items will be put to very good use. Other speakers at the occasion included senior teachers at the school.
