NSC, GCA Introductory Coaching Course Ended

The Gambia National Sports Council injunction with Gambia Cricket Association on Saturday ended two days introductory coaching course for cricket coaches, schools, and security personals at the July 22nd Square in Banjul.

The workshop brought together 13 participants including cricket coaches schools and security personal.

In his closing remarks the president of The Gambia Cricket Association, Mr. John Gomez, said that the coaching course was funded by the International Cricket Council with the aims, and objectives of equipping participants with new skills and techniques in modern cricket coaching.

He stated that the International Cricket Association would continue to improve, promote and develop cricket in the world.

He further stated that The Gambia Cricket Association would host the 2008 West African Cricket championship slated for August this year.

Titawo Aziz Mendy, a representative from national sports council, urged the participants to make good use of the knowledge gained from the training course and disseminate  knowledge to their colleagues, clubs and in communities.
