The second round matches in the on-going national inter departmental football tournament ended over the weekend with thrilling results.

After a 4-0 thrashing of Kairaba Pharmacy, Immigration on Saturday, drew 2-2 against Civil Aviation to maintain a top spot in Group A, on four points.

Elsewhere, The Gambia Armed Forces made it two wins in two matches to as they lead Group B. The Soldiers beat RVTH 2-0 in their opening match, and Saturday’s 1-0 win over Fire Service was enough to see the Soldiers through to the second round.

Close on them are Gamtel who bagged two points after drawing their first two matches against Fire Service and RVTH.

In Group C, GPA and KMC are level on four points two goals with both sides looking ahead to their final group matches.

Group D is currently led by Social Security on four points, while GRTS trail them by only a goal difference.

Week Three matches will resume on Saturday, May 10, with Civil Aviation taking Kairaba Pharmacy. Also on the same day, Nawec will take on Immigration, while Gamtel face Armed Forces.
