20 Year Old Convicted

A 20 year old,Abdou Salam Jallow,was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced by Magistrate John Njie of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court to a fine of D1000 in default to serve three months imprisonment.

He was said to have received stolen property from Lamin Jabang and Bakary Manneh some time this year in Brikama.

In a related but separate development, one Amadou Kah was arraigned before Magistrate John Njie of the BrikamaMagistrates’ court charged with being in possession of stolen property.

It was alleged that Amadou Bah on the 24thJune 2008 at Brikama Wellingara was found in possession of one female and one male goat suspected to be stolen. He vehemently denied the allegation before being granted court bail in the sum ofD2500 with a Gambian as surety.

Trial resumes on 24 July.
