Eighty six interns of the Brufut Gilkock Football Academy, last weekend, travelled to Siffoe to work on President Jammeh’s farm. The academy joined the Western Region Sports Committee, led by its chairman, Lamin King Colley.
King Colley, who doubles as the president of the Brikama Youths and Sports Association, said the groups’ trip to the president’s farm has now become a tradition, adding that the trip was in response to President Jammeh’s back-to-the-land call.
The Gambian leader being the number one sports fan, Colley said, it is important for sporting bodies in the country to also render services to his farms as a token of appreciation.
Sang Mendy, public relations officer of the Brufut academy, thanked King Colley for successfully facilitating the trip, adding that the academy was very much pleased to be part of it.
