Speech In Our Hands Gambian foundation recently adopted Alhagie Salifu K. Jaiteh as the father of their foundation.
In presenting the kola nut and certificate of appreciation to Mr. Jaiteh at his office in Banjul, Mr. Lamin Jarjue, the Executive Director of the foundation stated that the reason for choosing Mr. Jaiteh as their father is that, they have trust in him and above all, he is a patriotic citizen who immensely contributes to nation-building.
According to Mr. Jarjue, the foundation’s ultimate aims and objectives are to improve people with speech difficulties to be able to communicate effectively. He noted that since there is no cure for stammering, therapy procedure can be used to administer people with speech difficulties.
“Speech In Our Hands Gambian foundation is a baby and as a baby, one needs the support and guidance from the parents to grow healthily, as such the foundation has chosen Mr. Jaiteh as the parent”, he added.
Mr. Salifu Jaiteh, on his part, commended the foundation for the trust and confidence bestowed on him. He highlighted his resolve to always stand by the foundation.
