Yesterday’s week four matches have unearthed very interesting results. Defending Champions Wallidan received another defeat in the hands of Gamtel.
Gamtel’s Lamin Fofana in the 28th minute ended their lack of win in two matches and are now standing on the table with 7 points.
Despite the team captain’s George Cole, expulsion in the 84th minute, Gamtel managed to seal the win.
Wallidan’s assistant Coach, Joseph Gomez, shortly after the game told Pointsport that he was not pleased with his side’s poor run of form.
He said he believed that lack of concentration and confidence in the team was the reason for the players failure to deliver.
He added that, other teams in the league are more committed noting that his side didn’t implement what they were told during training sessions.
Brikama United made a come back by beating the 2007/8 vice champions, Samger 2-0 at home. Brikama United capitalised on their chances by recording a goal in each half to see them through. Alagie Bah and Modou Sowe turned the table in their favour in the 30th and 47th minutes.
In the dying minutes of the game, goal scorer Modou Sowe reduced his side to a ten-man team when he received matching orders from the central referee. Brikama United are now at seven points together with the Academy Boys, Samger.
Armed Forces recorded a resounding 3-1 victory over rising Tallinding United to increase their points to six.
Landing Darboe alias Del Pierro , Buba Suma and Modou Gaye in the 2nd , 14th and 75th minute recorded their names on the score sheet.
Tallinding made up through Sainey Gibba. The team’s keeper, Baboucarr Jallow, received a red card following his attempt to attack one of the assistant referees.
