The current league leaders Armed Forces still maintain the top spot in the 12 club championship with 28 points despite two successive draws.
They started the second round fixtures with an impressive 2-0 win over second placed Bakau United who now drop to 3rd place with 20 points only a point behind current 2nd place Gamtel who defeated relegation threatened Africell 2-1 on Sunday to occupy the second spot with 21 points despite a 1-0 lose to Sea view in the week 13 fixtures last Thursday. The Hotel club sit in 4th position after securing 20 points despite a goalless draw against closest rivals Real de Banjul who are sitting in 5th position with 19 points 1 behind the hotel club Seaview.
Wallidan who have been one of the most impressive sides in the latter stages of the 12 club championship have dropped to 6 positions with 18 points and a game in hand. They will entertainSamger later in the week as part of week 14 fixtures which were postponed last Sunday.
The Blue Boys have failed to win in two fixtures since the resumption of the second round a fortnight ago only with 2 points out of 2 games in the second round with a game in hand against Samger.
The Academy Boys Samger share the same points with the title holders. Both are on 18 points along with Wallidan having a better goal difference meaning the Jean Joof boys are sitting in 7th place with a game left to play.
Biko who have been inconsistent in the league slipped to 8th place also with 18 points despite loosing to Hawks 1-0 in week 14 fixtures.
Meanwhile Biko, who have been boosted by the return of their U-17 player from the just concluded African U-17 championship in Algeria, all played their part in their game against Hawks but could not help the Bakau giants to snatch a win against Hawks who defeated them 1-0.
The newly promoted side to the first division Brikama United, who have not conceded a single defeat so far in the second round, are lying in 9th position after collecting 18 points.
Coach Lang Kah and his Brikama side earlier in the week 12 fixtures collected a vital point when they held Hawks to a 2-2- draw and went ahead to snatch another vital point against defending champions Wallidan.
Hawks, who spent majority of the season in the relegation zone, have now moved to over step the relegation zone with 17 points in 10th position while Africell and division one returnees Tallinding United are both fighting for survival in order to avoid the risk of relegation to the second division with 13 and Africell have 3 points more than fellow strugglers Tallinding with 10 and 13 points respectively.
