B Master, a Nigerian music producer and a sound engineer currently based in The Gambia is set to release his much anticipated CD album .
He is expected to officially launch his debut album on the 14 of March 2009, at the Christ’s Embassy. The album entitled ‘Success in You’ comprises 10-tracks CD with a bonus song. It is expected to comprise high quality sound as it represent one of his best creative art work.
In an interview with What’s On, B Master disclosed that his fame producer revealed that God inspired his album. Born Bolanle Ekanoye, the star chooses gospel music because it seems right, and was the type of music that motivated him, into the world of music. With his versatile skills, B Master believes is time to contribute his quota in freshening The Gambian music industry. Recounting on his musical trends, B master disclosed that , he recaptured his date with music and that he started singing in 1996 with in band in his native Nigeria and later with a group called C T boys.
Still delving into his past, he went on "I was there as a member of a group called Daniel Jones who tutored me in music production. However, I started producing in 2005. My first production I did with the Brainstorm Cliq -a hip hop group comprised of different West African nationalities. This later propelled me to the stage I am. With people coming all over for their production needs, I have done music productions with a lot of artists including famous Marion, Njie B the Conqueror, Dr Olugander and even Jaliba Kuyateh, among other top Gambian artists.
The multi talented icon, further revealed that he attended music school back in Nigeria, where he obtained a diploma in keyboard and drumming, adding that he later developed his voice training and rudiments from the Trinity and Prophetic Music Schools respectively.
According to him, he was intrigued by Brian Mcknight and John Legend, who he thrived to be like, as if they are both producers and musicians. B Master who had elder siblings already in music, wasted no time in copying the rap act of his brother but found his niche in singing gospel, where he believed he was called by God to both preach and express himself in the way he felt comfortable.
However, this coming album will feature the likes of Marion, the late MJ, big Fat Sonny among others. "It took me almost four years to release the album which I started a way back in 2005. Due to the fact that, I had a lot on my plate as a producer, I could not constructively finish my album early. I could have finished the album in ten days but as a producer, I wanted to make it the best and I think I have done that,” he said.
According to him, he went through a lot to ensure he completed the recording of the album, especially finding the right voices for the feats, "That was the reason why I reduced the initial 16 tracks to 10 and, the album can be bought online from, www.whalesoundsrecord.com
He expressed gratitude to his manager, Adams Wilfred Uwagbae, church members, Africell and all those who help him in one way or the other.
