‘Be agents of change’ Urges Hon. Seedy Njie

A nominated member of the National Assembly, Honourable Seedy SK Njie, has urged the youths to be agents of change, so as to move The Gambia forward.

He made this call recently while addressing hundreds of young parliamentarians at the National Assembly in Banjul. According to him, it is high time that Gambian youths ventured into income generating activities that can help to propel the country into the developmental orbit. He then observed that the APRC government, under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, has provided a conducive environment and facilities for the youths to get involved in activities that can help them participate actively in the development process.

He urged the youths to make the best use of the country’s natural resources and respond positively to the Gambian leader’s ‘Back to the land call.’ "Everybody should grow what they eat and eat what they grow," he said, re-echoing President Jammeh’s words of wisdom. He went on to dilate on the financial crunch which has hit the entire world and indicated that efforts should be deployed to remedy the situation. As the financial meltdown continues inexorably to extend its tentacles, Hon. Njie advised the youths to see themselves as pillars of any social advancement.
