GFA first division giants, Steve Biko, have revealed that they will be hosting the London Stars - a multi national football team in UK - for international football friendlies.
The UK club will arrive Banjul this afternoon, and they will play three friendly matches during their stay in the country. Their first match will pit them against host Steve Biko on Thursday, January 29, at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.
The visitors, which will arrive with the world’s second tallest man, will also play the Gambia national Under 17 team on January 31 at the same venue before taking on Gambia Armed Forces in their final match on February 2, at the Brikama mini-stadium. Established in 1999 in London, London Stars team consist different nationalities, mainly Somalians and Caribbeans.
The team’s Gambia tour will mark their first visit in West Africa, having made similar visits to Europe, Canada, and East Africa.
