Butcher Charged With Cattle Rustling

One Muhammad Sillah, a butcher was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with cattle stealing.

According to the particulars of offence, on 29th September 2009, at Farah Village, Kombo South, in the Western Region, the accused Muhammed Sillah allegedly stole two cows, valued at D30, 000, being the property of one John Mendy.

When the charge sheet was read to him and interpreted in the local language he claimed to understand, he vehemently denied the charge.

Meanwhile, the accused was remanded in custody until the next adjourned date.
