Check Point FC on Sunday emerged as winners of the 2008 Sanchaba Sulay – Jobe Nawettan league championship after beating Central United FC by a lone goal to zero.

The match was played at Sanchaba Sulay – Jobe central football field ground and sponsored by Sanchaba Sulay- Jobe Sport Development Association SSDA. Central United FC won more possession in the first 15 minutes of the game but CheckPointFC broke the deadlock through Alhagie Bojang in the 25thminute of the game, but Central United FC fought but could not break through Check Point’s defence and the game ended 1-0 in favour of CheckPointFC.

As the champions, CheckPointFC went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D2, 500, while Central United FC received D1, 500 as runners-up. The final match was witnessed by important dignitaries and football lovers from in and around Sanchaba Sulay – Jobe village.
