Core Comprehensive student killed in accident

The Core Comprehensive Senior Secondary School has lost one of the their outstanding Grade 12 student, Fatou John, commonly called Fatou Secka, in a serious car accident last Tuesday at around 4:00am.

The deceased and other school mates were on their way home from Milly’s Night Club. One Isatou Barry, also a student of the said school, suffered serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to the RVTH.

Barwick Akigbogum, principal and proprietor of Core Comprehensive, said the late Fatou John was a good student. He described the accident as heart touching as they lost a brilliant student. According to him, the programme at the night club was not an official school programme but was organised by the Grade 12 students, as part of their inter-house activities.

The principal then advised parents to control and monitor the movement of their children. He also advised the students to be obedient to their parents and their teachers and urged them to learn a lesson from this sad incident.  Students of the school also expressed their sympathy and sadness and prayed for her soul to rest in perfect peace.
