Two Danish philantropists Per Mathiesen and Peter Atke, have have expressed their resolve to transform the Kubuneh nursery school into a a modern one in a bid to ensure quality education at the grassroot level.
The duo made these remarks last Sunday, during a presentation ceremony of some educational materials, at a ceremony held at Kubuneh village in Kombo North, Western Region.
The donated items included teaching materials and other valuable items. Speaking at the ceremony, Per Mathiesen, one of the philanthropist, expressed their desire to complete the four classroom block .
He informed the villagers that they will be engaging in some fund raising activities from friends, individuals and donor partners in order to ensure the completion of the project as soon as possible.
He further went on to revealed some development plans for village, notably, to device ways and means in the feeda road construction. Hanna MS Tamba the village Alikalo of Kubuneh commend the donors for their intervention, noting that, the project will enhance the welfare of people of the village. He further promise to give them all the support they needed.
Peter Atke also echoed similar sentiments, adding that they are confident and optimistic to change the current condition of the school to a better one. Ebrima Kujabi the headmaster of the Kubuneh nursery school, hailed the donors for their timely intervention. Kujabi described the donors as genuine philantroipists.
