Muhammad Gajaga, 4 year old boy and a retinoblastoma patient, is in dire need of financial assistance in order to undergo medical treatment in Dakar, Senegal.
According to a medical report issued and signed by the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) Medical board indicated that, Muhammed has a right retinoblastoma confirmed by a histopathological evaluation.
The report also noted that the patient had undergone a right orbital extent ration on October 30 2008. The medical report, recommended him for further treatment at neurooncology unit in Dakar, Senegal for an adjuvant involves field radio therapy and multimodal intensive chemotherapy.
Abdoulie Gajaga, father of the little Muhammad, who walked into the offices of the Daily Observer in company of the sick child said the family has explored different methods of treatments both local and western but to no avail.
The sad looking and worried father revealed that little Muhammad has been struggling with the disease over one and half year now. “His health condition is a great concern to the family and it has caused sleepless nights to the family.
Therefore, we urged Government, private sector and individual philanthropists to come to the aid of little Muhammad in order to restore his health,” he pleaded.
