The Sport Desk Officer for Region Two, Mr. Famara Kujabi has said that for the past two years his region has lifted the Inter-Regional Sport Athletic Championship Trophy, following the revival of the Lower Basic School Sport last year.
Mr. Kujabi said their success, in dominating regional championship trophy for the past years was based on real commitment, dedication and understanding between the nine zonal sport co-ordinators in Region Two and the Regional Office Staff inWestern Region.
Mr. Kujabi made these remarks last Wednesday at the Independence Stadium shortly when his Region was declared champions of the 2009 Lower Basic Schools Athletic Sport meeting for the second time. Mr. Kujabi reminded reporters that his region had made history in the inter school championship ever in the First Republic.
Desk Officer Kujabi said this year his athletes had ten days camping with intensive training. He added that when it comes to Lower Basic Schools athletics Sport Competitions his region is a force to be reckoned with.
He thanked the Regional Director for Region Two and his staff and the Chairman Brikama Area Council for their valuable support both financially and morally. He assured that his region would always top the Regional Championship Trophy and put his region into higher heights.
