Isha Fofana, a renowned Gambian artist, is set to exhibit her artistic works in the republic of Germany.
The exhibition, which will start from 20th January, will end on the 23rd of April 2009 and will take place at the press office of the German government. The theme of the exhibition is “Streets connecting cultures”. Over 30 renowned artists throughout the world are expected to participate in the exhibition.
The exhibition is organised by the International Association of Artists. Isha Fofana will represent the Republic of The Gambia and the West African sub-region at the exhibition. According to a press dispatch relayed to the Daily Observer, the Gambian artist will also display her works German public TV. This will feature her works revolving around the lives of African women, especially Gambian woman.
According to information garnered by this paper, Isha Fofana is well known for her works throughout Germany, where she has opened an art gallery called Mama Africa. She has a similar art gallery in Brusubi on the Kombo Coastal Road.
