Global Properties Is Sponsor Of S\K East NawettanWednesday, October 07, 2009
As part of their efforts towards excellence in sports in the country, Global Properties have now become the official sponsor of the Serrekunda East Nawettan league championship. The sponsorship which is expected to cover a lifespan of three years will include D30, 0000 for the winners of the tournament, while the runners-up will get D20, 000. As part of the package, both finalists would also receive a set of jerseys, and the organising committee of the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) would also receive 100 T- Shirts on the final day. Speaking to Pointsport, the General Manager of Global Properties, Mr Musa Janko Ceesay, revealed that his company would immensely contribute towards the development of sports in the country, particularly at the grassroots level. He noted that Global Properties also wants to extend the same gesture to other Nawettan zones in the country in order to improve and develop the raw talents in The Gambia. The Media Officer for Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation, Mr. Baboucarr Njie, said this sponsorship from Global Properties is a three-year plan, adding that it’s the first of its kind for Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation. He described the gesture as timely and applauded Global Properties for their magnificent contributions towards the development and promotion of football in Serrekunda East Nawettan zone.
