The Gambia National Lottery (GNL) last Friday presented two cheques in the sum of thirty three thousand one hundred and seventy dalasis (D33,170) each to two winners, Phillip Robert Sambou and Chukwa Emeka Agha, at a presentation ceremony held at their new office in Kanifing.

The duo was said to have won GNL’s last ‘quarte’ jackpot raffle draw. Speaking at the ceremony, Fabakary Jammeh, the marketing manager of GNL, said his company distributes huge sums of money daily to a wide range of winners. "We only invite people when jackpots are won. After 14 years in the business, we thought it important to contribute our quota towards the socio-economic development of the country. GNL is a partner to government and we are here to serve the interest of the entire people," he said. Jammeh further emphasised that his office will continue to create more job opportunities for Gambia youths, thus reducing.

For his part, Michel Gaye, a board member of GNL, expressed gratitude to the entire management of GNL for their tremendous contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. Gaye commended their sales clerks for their hard work, describing them as an important pillar of the company
