International Art Exhibition Underway In Germany

An International Art Exhibition started on the 20th of January, 2009 this year and is expected to end by the 23rd of April, 2009. The exhibition is organized by the International Association of Artists.

According to information reaching Entertainment, the opening of another exhibition took place on the 26th of January, 2009 at the first public TV Station WDR in Cologne. This exhibition is called Ntaling and will end on the 27th of March, 2009. One Gambian artist, Isha Fofana, is part of the exhibition. The Gambian international artist, Isha Fofana, is representing Gambia and West Africa at an exhibition called Streets Connecting Cultures at the press office of the German government in Bonn. According to information received by Entertainment, more than 30 artists around the world are participating at this great event.

The Gambian artist Isha Fofana is highly a recommended member of this non-profit organization. Some other events in Europe and in Africa are also planned by the International Association of Artists for this year and Isha Fofana has already been asked to participate.

Both exhibitions had a successful start, as many people were present at the opening. The media covered both events. Because of her engagements at her new gallery Mama Africa, here in Brusibi The Gambia, the artist could not join the two ceremonies. She is planning to attend the so called Finisage, another ceremony at the end of the exhibition period. Even without her physical presence, both occasions are giving a great opportunity to promote The Gambia and its best female artist. Isha Fofana returned home last year after almost ten years and an International career. During her time in Europe she had exhibitions at the UNESCO music awards given to Youssou Ndour from Senegal and Oumou Sangare from Mali. Her gallery in Germany, called Mama Africa, was a cultural centre for people being interested in artists and culture from Africa. After an audience at the Vice president of The Gambia H.
