Lamin Camara Re-elected As Lamin Sports Prexy

Lamin Camara has been unanimously re-elected as the President of Lamin Youth and Sports Committee for another four-year term, at the bi-annual congress held at Lamin Village in Kombo North, Western Region of the Gambia over the weekend.

Speaking to this reporter shortly after his re-election as the President of Lamin Youth and Sports Committee, Mr Camara, congratulated the people of Lamin for re-electing him into office for another four-year term. He assured the delegates that the committee will live up to expectations.

He disclosed that the aim of the committee was to have a divisional team, and noted that they have succeeded in establishing a team in GFA 2nd division.

According to him, his committee will not concentrate only on football but will also contribute towards the development of other sporting disciplines in Lamin Village and its surrounding areas.

He further disclosed that his committee would continue to promote and develop sports in Lamin in many years to come. He also promised free and fair championship in this year’s session.

For his part, the Vice-President of the committee Mustapha Manneh said that his committee is doing everything possible to ensure that they have a standard field before he leaves office. He hailed the people of Lamin for re-electing them into office for another four-year term and expressed confident that his committee will certainly live up to expectations.

The congress was witnessed by important dignitaries, football lovers and team representatives in and around Lamin Village.
