The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly has announced that there will be an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly in the 2008 legislative year. This information was contained in a press release, the full text of which is reproduced below.
In accordance with the powers conferred on His Excellency the president of the Republic of The Gambia under Section 101 of the 1997 Constitution, it is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the Office of the Honourable speaker of the National Assembly shall convene a meeting of the national assembly on Thursday 20th November 2008, at 5pm prompt, to consider the following under-mentioned bills:
i. The Livestock Marketing Agency Bill, 2008
ii. Repeal of the NADA Act, 2006
Limited seating arrangements are available in the public Gallery and members of the general public, the diplomatic corps and the media who wish to attend shall seated by 4.30 pm..
