Pencha Bi Claim Afriwood TourneyWednesday, September 23, 2009 Pencha Bi FC are the 2009 league champion of the just concluded Afriwood Ramadan sponsored tournament, organised by Mr. Mustapha Drammeh, the Program Officer for Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation after drawing 1-1 with Rangers FC last Saturday 19th September 2009, at the Serrekunda Lower Basic School playing ground. Pencha Bi FC collected 14 points during the championship, while Rangers FC collected 13 points and are second, followed by Leeds FC with 12 points, Gamma Link FC bagged 9 points, Canon FC collected 5 points, Cambel Town FC also collected 5 points, SV Laar FC and Churchills Town United each collected 4 points. All teams that participated in the championship were given each D500 with 5 sachets of Naturelle water. Ebrima Kujabi, alias Laahu of Canon FC was awarded the best player of the tournament while the leading goal scorer went to Hatab Badjie of Rangers FC, Gamma Link FC were named the most disciplined team. Mr. Mustapha Drammeh, the organiser of the tournament thanked the Proprietor of Afriwood Company, Mr. Ousainou Bojang for his laudable contribution and Mr. Omar Koroma He also thanked all the teams that took part in the tournament and the Head Coach of Rangers FC, Mr. Ebrima Conteh who has helped him during the championship.
