St Francis SSS smiles

A group of eight (8) students led by two teachers from Gymnasiesholan High School in Eslov, Sweden, recently paid a 4-day visit to St Francis Senior Secondary School in Kunkujang Mariama, Kombo South, Western Region.  

During their stay, the Swedish students took part in lessons, sports, home visits and cultural exhibitions with their counterparts. The group also donated sporting and educational materials to the schooL.

Speaking to this paper after the presentation, the senior coordinator of the  visit, Karim Hagberth, said that she was happy to be in The Gambia, a country she has visited many times.  She added “Kunkujang and Gambians as a whole are very friendly, and the country is a wonderful and peaceful place”.  

Hagberth further promised to strengthen the cordial relationship between the two schools. The principal of St Francis, Sang Sylvester Gomez, expressed appreciation for the gifts.
