The Gambia Technical Training Institute IT network (GTTI) recently elected a new executive.

The organigramme of the  executive body comprises the president, vice-president, secretary general, treasurer, financial controller and public relations officer. In an interview with the Daily Observer, Kawsu Sanyang, the newly elected president said that the IT network was formed five years ago and it consists of students doing Information and Technology in GTTI. According to Kawsu, the IT network was formed to look into the welfare of students and to create mutual understanding between the students and teachers.

He added that the executive serve as a link between the students, teachers, and departments. "During my campaign, my motto was ‘Unity,’ because through unity you can achieved your goals. He further urged his fellow students to be serious in their education and have confidence in themselves in whatsoever they are doing. He also thanked the students for the trust and confidence bestowed on him and assured them that he will delivered as expected.
