UK Friends Donate to Armitage

North Bromsgrove high school in UK last weekend donated many valuable items to ArmitageSeniorSecondary School in Janjanbureh, Central River Region.

The donated items include learning materials, computers, and office equipments.

In his welcoming remarks, Mr.Gibrilla Kamara, head of department for social science who also chaired the ceremony, spoke at length about the link between the two schools.

According to him, Armitage have not regretted having North Bromsgrove as friends.

In presenting the items on behalf of his school, Mr. Mike Handley and Mr. Mike Carrick, the head of the delegation from the UK, expressed their pleasure in making the presentation. He applauded the school and the community of the island town of Janjanbureh for the warm welcome accorded to them. The visit to the school, they said, is also meant to strengthen the relationship between North Bromsgrove and Armitage.

The vice principal of Armitage school, Mr. Isaac K. Koroma on behalf of the principal and the school, commended their friends for what he referred to as “a laudable gesture”. He expressed the school’s appreciation of the donation while assuring that they will put it to good use.
