The Gambia Physically Disabled Sports Association [GPDSA] would celebrate the World Disability Day on Sunday 3rd December with series of Sporting events in the Gambia.
The President of GPDSA Suleyman Colley disclosed that to Pointsports last Thursday.
Mr Colley revealed that the theme of this year’s celebration is ‘ Total Inclusion ‘ and his association would demonstrate the need to mainstream differently.
He revealed that they would be hosting a Wheelchair Tennis tournament at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 10am on Sunday, which would be followed by a wheelchair Basket match at 5pm at the Serekunda West Min-stadium.
He added that on Monday 4th December there would be a meeting between members of his Association and Mr. Mark Bullock, the Development Officer at the International Tennis Federation base in the United Kingdom, who would be in the country for a brief visit.
‘Mr, Bullock would be discussing the possibility of establishing a wheelchair Tennis Factory in the Gambia ‘ he revealed.
Mr. Colley added that a sitting Volleyball match would wrap up the celebration on Monday at 5pm at the New World for Youth ground in London Corner.
