Hawks FC, the winners of the FA cup and the League holders, GPA, will take part in the forthcoming CAF Confederation Championship scheduled for the end of this month.

A press release from The Gambia Football Association states that, Hawks FC will play the first leg against A S Denguele of Ivory Coast, in Banjul on Saturday, the 27th January 2007, at the Independence Stadium, Bakau, at 4:30pm.

The Gambia Football Association therefore counts on the general public , football fans, especially Hawks fans, to come out in large numbers to cheer and support the team, as they embark on this very important continental competition. According to the release, tickets will cost D100 for VIP, D25 for covered pavilion, while uncovered pavilion will be D10.

Meanwhile, the FA league holders, GPA, will soon travel to Accra, Ghana, where they will play against Asante Kotoko on February 3rd 2007, in the first leg.
