One Modou Mbye, a resident of Latrikunda Sabiji on Monday paid D10, 000 court fine, after found guilty by principal Magistrate Moses Richard of Bundung magistrate court, for being in possession of 1 gramme of “Hashish” Police Prosecutor Corporal 772 Samateh informed the court that Modou Mbye has settled his D10, 000 fine to the court. Mr. Mbye pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against him.

In his plea for mitigation, Mr. Mbye beg mercy, adding that he will never involve in such.

Magistrate Richards, in his judgment told Mr. Mbye that “you are still young and having gone through all these, it’s an opportunity to reform yourself, and desist from the practices”.

He then sentenced him to a fine of D10, 000.

According to the particulars of the offense, Modou Mbye, on 25 August 2006 was found in possession of 1 gramme of “Hashish” in Latrikunda Sabiji.
