D5,000 bail bond for accused

Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, on Thursday granted bail to Ebrima Keita to the sum of D5,000, or two Gambian sureties- one of whom must have a landed property that worths the sum of money. Ebrima Keita was charged with assault, causing to much harm to Ali Jawo. The accused person stabbed him with a broken bottle earlier this year at Bakau Car Park. In a similar incident, the same jurisdiction ordered one Seedy Jobe to be remanded for stabbing Sulayman Manneh, with a pair of scissors on 29th September, 2007. This incident happened in Serrekunda (Babylon). He pleaded not gulity to the charges. The case continues.
