Late FM FC, formerly Banda, were, on Tuesday, crowned the champions of the Bakau knock-out competition.

The knock-out winner was decided just two days after Jazz FC won their first-ever league title in Bakau.

Banda defeated the defending champions, Scan Tours FC, in a post-match spot kick after a 1-1 draw, to land their first major title in over a decade.

Scan Tours managed a stoppage time equaliser to force the keenly contested match to a spot-kick in which Banda prevailed. As champions, the Bakau New Town giants received a giant trophy and a promissory note for D7,000, while Scan Tours consoled themselves with D5,000.
