PIA Honours 48 Students

The Presidents International awards recently honoured 48 students from Bakau and Glory Baptist upper basic schools with silver and bronze medals at a ceremony held in the Bakau Upper Basic School.

Speaking at the occasion the Director of the Presidents International Awards, Mrs. Besin Ceesay, said the event was significant in the history of her centre. She added that her centre would continue to empower Gambian youth and would also continue to support students in the country.

She revealed that centre was initially established to educate Gambian youth and to help them develop vocational skills.

For his part, Mr. Baboucarr Jobe, a representative from the Department of State for Basic and Secondary Education, expressed appreciation to PIA for the initiative and he urged students to be disciplined in their approach to their education.
