Ports Authority’s crucial match against Nigeria’s Nasarawa United in the second leg, second round of the CAF Champions' League in Banjul has been cut-short to Friday, March 16, at the Independence Stadium, Bakau instead of Saturday, March 17.
Reports reaching Observer Sports revealed that the Independence Stadium-the venue for the match will be in use on Saturday, a scenario that forced the authorities to shift the match to Friday.
Nasarawa United thrashed Gambia Ports Authority 3-0 in the first leg match played at the Lafia Township Stadium in Nigeria.
Ports Authority will need to overturn the three goals deficit in order to proceed to the next stage of the competition.
Ports Authority coach, Alhaji Sarr, remained optimistic that his side would overturn the three goals deficit.
"If we can score three goals in Nigeria, we can also score the same number of goals and even more at home,” coach Sarr said.
