In an interview with Pointsport yesterday at his residence in Cape Point, Momodou Jallow known to many as M.D, said he was able to go to Turkey through the help of his coach Abdoulie Bojang of Gilkock football academy, who he described as his mentor and commended him for all the support he has given to him. According to MD he was the only black player in Keiserie Sports Academy, making him very proud and fame resulting to his magnificent performance.

“I had good games and I was happy to be the only Blackman in the whole academy, which infact made me very popular among my teammates,” said MD.

However the 15 -year old striker joined Vidar FC some four years ago, when he was too young and had won many trophies with the team including the Bakau senior Nawettan trophy last year, amongst others.

As a regular starter for the team, MD has registered a very good relationship with both his team mates and officials.

“I am dreaming to play for Steve Biko and The Gambia national team and I am finally urging my fellow footballers to be humble and always play with the spirit of the game and am thanking the GFA for the wonderful role they are playing in development the game of football in the Gambia,” he concluded.
