Fire outbreak at Bakau

Wednesday, May 9, 2007

Around 02:00am on Saturday at the tailoring shop of one Mawdo Kandeh, a fire broke out, consuming all the valuable items in the shop.

The sewing machine alone, costing D25, 000, two generators, cupboards, chairs, and clients’ clothes, amounting to D20,000 perished in the fire.
The fire was caused by a candle which caught the shop, while the apprentice was deep at sleep.

Mawdo is appealing to the general public to come to his aid, either in cash or kind.  Anyone who wishes to come to Mawdo Kandeh’s aid could contact him on these numbers: 9865096 ,4494589.
