Daddy Sanyang, a printer with the Observer Company limited, on Tuesday met his untimely dead at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), Banjul after a protracted illness.

Mr. Sanyang was one of the longest-serving staffs in Observer Company since its inception in 1992, by Kenneth Y Best, a Liberian. “He’s known to be a pious Muslim, faithful, obedient and dedicated to his work”.

In his sad tone, Sainey Sanneh, who spoke on behalf of the Observer staffs, said “it is very sad that we lost a dedicated, respectful, hardworking man like Daddy”. Many other Muslims, well-wishers, and sympathisers all described Mr. Sanyang as honest, disciplined and God-fearing.

Mr. Sanyang was laid to rest yesterday at 5pm, at Fajikunda Cemetary, where  hundreds of sympathisers, including Dr Alieu Badara, Saja Taal, Andrew Dacosta, Hamidou Baldeh and many other staff members, prayed for the departed soul.
