Football Coaching Course For New Intakes

In its drive to equip the new intakes with the basic Football coaching techniques, the Gambia Football Coaches Association (GFCA) would be organising a two day course for its new intakes on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August, 2007 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

According to GFCA President, Pa Suwareh Faye, the training aims at helping the new registered members of the Association with some basic coaching methods.

He revealed that this is an annual programme designed by the Association to equip its new intakes.

He added that the course directors are: Honorable Coach Alagie Sillah, Peter Bonu Johnson, Tapha Manneh, Mafugi, Sang Ndong, Modou Demba, Mustapha Jammeh, Charles Janneh Buba Jallow, Ansumana Jallow and Badou Jassey, who would be dilating on the Laws of the Game.

The other topics to be discussed are Role of a Coach, Team Building, Technical Training, Principles of the game, planning training session, tactical training (Attack/Defense) and Goalkeeper training (Theory/Practical).

Sainey Jammeh and Ebou Faye would coordinate the course and 22 coaches are expected to attend this important course.
