Members of Sport Journalists Association of the Gambia (SJAG) would, on Wednesday August 22, 2007 play a friendly match with the Gambia Football Coaches Association (GFCA).
The most talked about match, to be held at the Independence Stadium, is expected to bring excitement among member of the two associations.
Namory Trawally, President of the Sport Journalists Association of The Gambia, lauded the initiative adding that it will help both parties to regard each other as partners in sports development.
He said” fostering unity between Sport Journalists, administrators and partners in sports development, is a prime target of the leadership of this professional body and I believe with support and cooperation from members all can be achievable”
He called on all Sport Journalists in the country to come forward and participate in the friendly encounter, which is expected to kick off at 4.30pm.
It could be recalled that the Serrekunda East Sports Development Association early this year, which ended 5-0 in their favour, made a similar gesture.
