The Western Region boys of Brikama, on Tuesday, humiliated Banjul team 4-0 in their first match in the ongoing Super Nawettan Championship better known as Zonal.

In a well attended match at the Box Bar Min-stadium in Brikama, the western region team controlled the entire game after scoring the fastest goal of the tournament just seconds after the official kick off of the encounter.

The early goal destabilised the City Boys who could not find their system of play.

Brikama continued to mount pressure on Banjul defense, which could not guard their goalmouth resulting to a 4-0 victory for Brikama.

At the end of week one matches of Group A, Brikama leads the table with 3 points and 4 goals, Gunjur came second with 3 points and 2 goals, Sukuta are third with 0 point –2 goals while Banjul close the table with 0 point – 4. After 48 hours rest the group would play its second match on Friday with Banjul taking on Sukuta at the Serekunda East Min-stadium while Brikama would host Gunjur at the Box Bar Mini-stadium the same day.
