Banjul Sports Committee Warns Teams

As Banjul Nawettan reaches crucial stage, Banjul Sports Committee has released warning for teams to take care of their fans.

Here is the release from BSC;

‘All teams are warned that they will be hold responsible for the actions of their supporters, players and officials. We are at a crucial stage of the nawettan and losing teams tend to resort to unnecessary violence during and after the match. Teams will be severely punished of any violence conduct towards match officials, supporters and players. Football is a game of fair play and teams must have the spirit to accept defeat in whatever circumstances. The committee will not hesitate to impose severe penalties on any team.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The rules and regulation will be adjusted again after the Ramadan as follows:

18 registered players

5 substitutions

40 minutes playing time

Also, there will be direct penalty kicks after normal time and if the match official decides to abandon the penalty kicks due to darkness, the penalties will be continued the next day, starting with 5 penalty kicks each.

Teams that are competing in both trophies should be prepared to play within 48 hours of their last match. We will try as much as possible to give teams enough time for preparation but if such eventuality arrives, teams must play.

MARCUS

I am directed by the Organising Committee to inform you that LAMIN CEESAY, coach of Marcus F C is suspended from the bench for two (2) matches of ungentlemanly conduct on your match against Firehouse on Saturday, 6th Oct. 07. As a coach you are expected to comport yourself with discipline and respect.

SUSPENSIONS

Any suspension to be served by a player due to Red or Yellow cards will apply to your team next consecutive match irrespective of the competition. If a player is for example, been red carded in the league and his club next match is in the knock-out, that player will serve the suspension on that match.“
