4 Swedish coaches set to arrive Banjul

Four football coaches from the Scandinavian country of Sweden, are expected to arrive in the country on Saturday, November 4, for a two-week long training visit.

The four will arrive as the special guests of the Gambia Football Coaches Association and their proposed Banjul trip comes hot on the heels of a two-week visit made to Sweden, by four Gambian football coaches.
Speaking to Observer Sports, Coach Pa Suwareh Faye, who doubles as the Head Coach of the GFA First Division giants -Africell/Sait Matty FC, said the four Swedish coaches (two males and two females), will during their visit, engage in training Gambian football coaches, an astute move geared towards raising the standard of football coaching in the country.

“We have planned to train over sixty Gambian football coaches during period. The training package will also cover some thirty female coaches and the same number of Physical Education Teachers from the school system, and all this will be done in collaboration with the Gambia Football Association,” he said.

“The visit of the four will further strengthen the cordial relations that exist between the two sister-bodies and we hope to make the exchange visit a continuous process in the benefit of the two countries,” Pa Faye said.
